One Step Closer to the Final Release of LibreOffice 25.8

LibreOffice 25.8 is coming soon. The official release is scheduled for August 20, 2025, according to the release schedule of The Document Foundation. Before this date, two release candidate (RC) versions allow users to test the new features and fix the last bugs.

The RC3 version is already available for download. It includes all planned improvements and is very close to the final version. However, a bug causing an easily reproducible crash has been discovered. To fix this, a RC4 version is scheduled for August 14, 2025.

These versions are available for Linux, macOS, and Windows. They directly replace your standard installation, allowing you to test new features before their official release.

Because RC versions are pre-release builds, they are mainly useful for users who want to check their own documents, verify compatibility, and help identify remaining issues before the final LibreOffice 25.8 release.

Why Integrate Graphics and Images in LibreOffice?

Integrating charts and images in LibreOffice documents adds an essential visual dimension that can enhance the understanding and appeal of your content. Whether you are using LibreOffice Writer to draft a report, LibreOffice Calc to present statistical data, or LibreOffice Impress for a presentation, the addition of visual aids can transform your documents into powerful communication tools.

Images help illustrate ideas, show examples, and make long documents easier to read. Charts make numerical information clearer by turning data into a visual format. In LibreOffice, these elements can be inserted, resized, positioned, and customized directly in your document, spreadsheet, or presentation.
