Download LibreOffice 7.6 Community: The Free Office Suite

LibreOffice 7.6 Community, the new major version of the free office suite supported by volunteers, is now available for download for Windows (Intel/AMD and ARM processors), macOS (Apple and Intel processors), and Linux. This version marks the end of the historical version numbering, transitioning to a calendar-based numbering system starting in 2024. The next major version will be LibreOffice 24.2 in February 2024.

Introduction to LibreOffice and Thunderbird

LibreOffice and Thunderbird are two highly regarded free and open-source software applications used by many. Although LibreOffice does not come with a built-in email client, there are numerous free and open-source email clients that work seamlessly alongside this office suite. Thunderbird, a project affiliated with Mozilla's Firefox web browser, is one of the most well-known examples.

The Document Foundation announces the release of LibreOffice 7.5.4 Community, the fourth minor version in the 7.5 line of LibreOffice, the free office suite supported by volunteers. This new version is available for download for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. LibreOffice also offers products based on its technology for mobile platforms (Android and iOS) as well as for the cloud.

In 2022, the LibreOffice documentation community continued to update the guides and help application for LibreOffice.

Throughout the year, the documentation project bridged the gap between major releases of LibreOffice and updates to the corresponding guides. By the end of the year, all guides for version 7 had been updated to align with LibreOffice version 7.4, and they are ready for the next release, version 7.5.

Enhancing User Experience with LibreOffice

LibreOffice, the open-source office suite, focuses on enhancing user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). The LibreOffice design community has been actively working to introduce new features and improve the visual appeal of the application.
