Recommended for Enterprises

For enterprise deployments, TDF strongly recommends the LibreOffice Enterprise application family from ecosystem partners, which offers long-term support options, professional assistance, custom features, and service level agreements.

This distinction helps separate the community edition from enterprise deployment options. Individual users can use LibreOffice Community, while organizations that need long-term support, professional assistance, custom features or service level agreements are directed to the LibreOffice Enterprise application family from ecosystem partners.

Technology Platform

LibreOffice Community and the LibreOffice Enterprise product family are based on the LibreOffice Technology platform, the result of years of development efforts aimed at providing a cutting-edge office suite for not only desktops but also mobile and cloud environments.

The LibreOffice Technology platform is therefore the common technical base mentioned for both LibreOffice Community and the LibreOffice Enterprise product family. It supports the office suite across desktop use and also targets mobile and cloud environments, as stated in the announcement.
